Leadership Coaching

If you're working in a leadership position, ask yourself this question, What is it that I get paid to do?

Some leaders say they build teams or motivate and inspire people. Others say they strategize and set goals or define direction and direct execution.

But let’s dig deeper. What does every one of those leadership demands have in common?

You need to open and hold effective conversations. You need to build and sustain trusting relationships.

That’s the basis of strong leadership, so it’s the foundation of leadership development with the Ontological Experience.

To build more confident, comfortable, inspired and inspiring leaders, we show you how to become a better observer of the observer you are. We look at the conversations you’re able and unable to hold. We inspect the relationships you’ve built and the strength and trust they’re built on.

Then through coaching and teaching that helps you understand yourself on a profound and fundamental level, we empower you to design the life and career you want.

Leaders Who Align

The Ontological Experience is a human-centered approach to leadership principles and learning, so by design, it isn’t the right fit for every leader.

If you align with a more command-and-control management style, or if culture and values don’t reside near the top of your priority list, you’ll probably find a better match in another kind of executive coaching.

If your worldview is continually broadening, if you believe that relationships and people drive success, and if your management and leadership style is more collaborative than constricted, the ontological framework and tools will meet you right where you are.

How We Work Together

Coaching With Newfield Certified Ontological Coach (NCOC) and formerly ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Mark Robertson

Leadership Coaching with the Ontological Experience can include one-on-one leadership coaching or group coaching with teams.

Coaching is an ongoing, collaborative conversation between me and the coachee. It’s a learning process, and a growth process. The arrangement typically includes an initial six-month commitment, with three one-hour or two 90-minute sessions a month, either remote or in person, along with unlimited access to support via email. But the personal, individual nature of leadership development means our arrangement is flexible, based on your needs.

The first part of our work together centers on expanding your awareness. Through deep, exploratory conversations and the introduction of new tools, I help you SEE the challenges you’re dealing with in an entirely different way.  Once you see differently, new actions reveal themselves. Those new actions must be practiced consistently over time in order to create new habits that will produce the results you’re looking for.
