Workshops with The Ontological Experience don’t feel or function like a typical corporate learning event.
Attendees don’t implement tips and tricks. We won’t address the symptoms of team, leadership, and organizational dysfunction without exploring the root causes. The ontological coaching approach is deeper, by design.
Newfield Certified Ontological Coach and formerly ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Mark Robertson leads experiential workshops that move past what we do every day, reaching down into how we each observe the world and how that informs the way we show up in it.
That simple but universal concept—the foundation of our “way of being”—informs every action and reaction, every connection and disconnection, every success and misfire, at work and at home.
During Mark’s engaging and interactive workshops, attendees start to understand how to stop, step back, look inward, and observe the observer. Because profound, positive change, both personal and professional, starts there.
Topics and Options
Coach Mark Robertson offers fun and engaging standard and custom workshops for full teams or groups of up to 25, each integrating the ontological framework and tools into interactive, group-centered experiences.

Standard Workshops
Leadership: The Art of Powerful Conversations
Offered as a full-day or multi-session workshop
Leaders are paid to direct powerful, effective conversations. But many don’t recognize how much of their individual and organizational success hinges on clear, cohesive communication.
During this interactive workshop, attendees learn the five primary leadership conversations and the five language acts that make up effective speaking, along with insights into how to listen more powerfully, the role of moods and emotions in our conversations, and how to restore or strengthen trust in working relationships.
It’s Capacity Management, not Time Management!
Most stress and overwhelm are often blamed on poor work/life balance or time management. But what if you’ve been solving the wrong problem? We don’t actually manage time—we manage capacity: the mix of time, energy, and skill we commit to our tasks.
This workshop helps you recognize your fixed and variable capacity and become aware of how you spend it—especially through the simple act of saying “yes.” Many of us overextend ourselves to please others, be “team players,” or because we lack systems to track commitments.
You’ll learn how to gauge your true capacity, align your commitments with what matters most, and create daily practices that keep you in integrity with your time and energy. The result? Less stress, more clarity, and a sustainable sense of control.
It’s not about doing more—it’s about committing wisely.
Creating a Culture of Commitment and Accountability
Offered as a full-day or multi-session workshop
We only achieve commitment and accountability through clear, precise conversations and impeccable coordination of action.
During this workshop, attendees learn aspects of the Conversations for Impeccable Coordination of Action and how this conversational process empowers leaders and individuals to build trust, establish and ensure accountability, and work together impeccably
Building Trust in Relationships and Teams
Offered as a full-day or multi-session workshop
At least 99% of all organizational ineffectiveness is rooted in distrust. For relationships and teams to function and grow effectively, it’s vital to build on a foundation of trust.
This workshop introduces leadership, teams, and individuals to the components of trust and takes them through a series of intense, experiential processes that rebuild and create trust within a team.
Emotional Awareness and Agility
Offered as a full-day or multi-session workshop
In this workshop, leaders and employees learn the difference between emotions and moods, the four basic moods that “take over” individuals and organizations, and how to design moods that support more powerful actions and results.
“Emotions” is the more commonly used term, but moods are a more powerful focus. Moods shape the way we “see” and act in every moment of our day, driving us to take and not take certain actions. We can intervene in moods much more than we can with emotions. So while you’ll develop a deeper understanding of both, during this workshop, we’ll focus more intently on designing moods.
